Jesse Eisler MD, PhD
After completing a combined MD and PhD program as part of the Medical Scientist Training Program sponsored by the National Institute of Health, Dr. Eisler completed an orthopaedic surgery residency in New York City at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Following this residency, he completed a Combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Spine Surgery Fellowship at Vancouver General Hospital, part of the University of British Columbia. As an MD/PhD student, Dr. Eisler developed an interest in the mechanisms of aging and how they relate to manifest in processes determined by cell biology. After completing his training, Dr. Eisler has been continuing his interest in aging with an emphasis on the Aging Spine and ways to best manage the challenges of the aging spine, including osteoporosis. Dr. Eisler’s background in basic biology and Spine surgery has given him a well developed perspective on Spinal Care. His goal is to evaluate the spinal condition of his patients and to provide the most appropriate conservative care as well as the most effective surgical care depending on the unique presentation of the patient.
